M.O.M = Managing Outbursts by the Minute

Whatever happened to the good 'ol days when moms could "throw" their kids out into the street to play ALL day long , while she stayed indoors cooking, cleaning and getting stuff done??? Nowadays we have to be there with them, supervising them in fear of them getting kidnapped or something.

One can never win. If I'm home doing what I need to get done, then my kids are miserable or become electronically addicted. If I'm outside watching them, they're happy but my house is a mess, no food is made and nothing gets done...uugh. Can you feel my stress??

It has been an interesting morning to say the least.

Ironic. A second earlier they were crying. Turn on the camera, they see themselves and start to smile...mmm maybe I have found my answer????
My oldest son is wearing out his welcome and I am sooo ready for him to go back to school.
Two weeks vacation is nice in theory. But unless you're traveling somewhere, it just turns into countless hours of " I'm boooooored," followed by immature fighting with his 2 year old brother.

Then as I was making breakfast my youngest thought it would be so entertaining to spill his whole sippy cup of juice unto all the couches that I spent hours cleaning a few weeks ago.

As I write this my youngest child just smacked my oldest in the face with a pair of sunglasses...I now have 2 crying kids ..( rolling eyes).

I think I'm becoming immune to it. In other words:  are you breathing? is anything broken? is there blood? If NO to all of the above, then I can't hear you.....
Greek yogurt snack bars

But hey!!! on a good note. I just made delicious greek yogurt /fruit/nut snack bars, I'll post the recipe later, or not. it all depends how my day continues to develop....there, now they're laughing...oh wait. crying again... ( I am NOT being funny, I am DEAD serious, this is happening right now as we speak!! ...ok . laughing again...
This mom is in serious need of  vacation right now..serious need people! Or at the least, a good manicure, pedicure and massage.

and.......crying again

Ok, so my "health" contribution to this post is the following. In moments like these, take a deep deep breath of some Wild Orange essential oil. Or lavender, or Solace...do this as often as needed.
Heck, staple it to your nose if possible!!
Trust me, it will make you feel much calmer, it will help you deal with the stress, it will relax you.
And if your children allow it, POUR lavender on them, so they too can relax a bit!!!! Ok, maybe pour is exaggerating a bit much, even though, I have accidentally did it once and it resulted in a 4 hour nap...not necessarily a bad thing...just saying.

If you need some of these oils , contact me. You will NOT regret it!!!

ok,this is more realistic.
